Applefield CL CAMC: Your Ultimate Camping Site
Welcome to Applefield C.L., your ideal camping site for an escape into nature. We are preparing for the lambing season and expect to be open from early April, depending on weather conditions. Please ring or email to check the exact opening date.
Over the last two years, we've seen an increase in deer, tawny owls, and even badgers. Even if you don’t spot them, you’re likely to hear their enchanting calls during your stay with us.
Unfortunately, we also have a resident heron that has decimated our fish population, meaning we can no longer offer on-site fishing. However, there are several local lakes offering day passes just a few miles away.
For cyclists and walkers, the area features excellent flat routes. The nearby coast provides a great cycling experience on relatively quiet lanes and byways.
The village offers a great shop, restaurant, and pub. If you're staying in one of our charming holiday cottages, you’ll be pleased to know that we’ve even had ‘Just Eat’ deliveries on site for those days when you prefer not to venture out!
On arrival at our camping site, we will try to ensure, livestock permitting, that all gates are open. We are continuing to offer opportunities to book the complete site for your exclusive use or to share with friends and family across up to 5 pitches, provided all guests are members of the CAMC. Our holiday cottage is also available for friends and family who may not wish to stay in a caravan. It features a single level with no stairs or steps, along with a walk-in wet room shower, making it a perfect option especially during lambing season.
